Mike is an LA based comedy writer, director and producer. He’s lived a lot of places, but mainly he’s from Texas.
After moving to LA, Mike interned at Abso Lutely Productions for Season 1 of The Eric Andre Show (Adult Swim). Since then, Mike has been fortunate to branch out into many roles in the industry. He has worked on many scales of network productions for companies like NBCUniversal, A&E, Riot Games, Funimation Entertainment and more. While freelancing to pay the bills, Mike was brought on board to direct one episode of the web-series, Buffering.
That led Mike to directing, co-writing, and co-producing the rest of the series. Buffering started with zero budget, but gained a very loyal and unique fan base. After the first two episodes of the series launched, the show was able to crowdsource over $17,000 to increase production quality. With each episode, Mike directed the show to higher creative and technical success, challenging what most people think is possible in low budget web-series production. Buffering now boasts almost 200,000 channel views, over 3,700 subscribers, and an active following across social media.
Mike is currently developing projects, shooting some, and editing for others. He currently serves as the head editor/cinematographer and consulting producer for Gray Studios Make-A-Movie program as well as their Demo Reel program. Since joining the team, he has helped grow the program nationwide, editing and producing over 70+ short films since 2015.
